Apple is accelerating its support for affordable housing initiatives and over the past 18 months the company says it has deployed more than $1 billion for projects across California. Apple’s financial commitment has already helped thousands of people in the state become homeowners for the first time.
Apple has announced a $2.5 billion plan to help address the housing availability and affordability crisis in California. Nearly 30,000 people left San Francisco between April and June of this year and homeownership in the Bay Area is at a seven-year low.
