Apple opening applications on May 9 for WWDC 2022 Apple Park event

Apple WWDC 2022 will take place between June 6 and June 10

On Monday, May 9, Apple will open up applications from members of the Apple Developer Program and Apple Developer Enterprise Program who wish to be considered for a place on the “special all-day experience” at Apple Park on the day of WWDC 2022.

In addition to the online conference, Apple is hosting a special day for developers and students at Apple Park on June 6 to watch the keynote and State of the Union videos together, along with the online community.

The ‌Apple Park‌ event is free and participants will be picked through a lottery system. Submissions will be accepted from Monday, May 9 at 5:00 p.m (GMT). through Wednesday, May 11 at 5:00 p.m. (GMT), with applicants being notified about the status of their submission by Friday, May 12.

Apple says that in order to help ensure the health of everyone at Apple Park, attendees must follow Apple’s health and safety protocols, which also take into account the latest requirements and guidance from public health authorities regarding COVID-19. This includes providing proof of a negative COVID-19 test no more than three days before the event.

Starting June 6 through June 10, WWDC 2022 is expected to see Apple announce iOS 16, iPadOS 16, the next macOS update, watchOS 9, tvOS 16, and more..

In addition to the announcements shared from the keynote and State of the Union presentations, this year’s program will also include more information sessions, more cutting-edge learning labs, more digital lounges to engage with attendees, and more localized content to make WWDC22 a truly global event.

Space will be limited, and applications will open on the Apple Developer site and app on Monday at the times above.
