iOS 16.3.1 patches "actively exploited" bug fix and other fixes

Apple has released iOS 16.3.1 bringing multiple bug fixes, addressing issues with iCloud and Siri requests for Find My, plus it adds more Crash Detection optimizations.

1OS 16.3.1 fixes a bug where iCloud settings may be unresponsive or incorrectly display if apps are using iCloud.

In addition, many users were finding that Siri requests for Find My were not working and iOS 16.3.1 should fix that.

There is a fix for Crash Detection optimizations on iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models. Crash detection has helped alert first responders to some car crashes, but it has also been triggered when some users ride roller coasters with their phones.

Kernel

Impact: An app may be able to execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges

Description: A use after free issue was addressed with improved memory management.

WebKit

Impact: Processing maliciously crafted web content may lead to arbitrary code execution. Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been actively exploited.

Description: A type confusion issue was addressed with improved checks.
