ChatGPT for iPhone comes to the UK and other countries

Just last week, OpenAI released an iPhone app for ChatGPT, its viral artificial intelligence chatbot. The free app was only available in the U.S. but OpenAI has now launched the app in 11 new countries.

iOS users in Albania, Croatia, France, Germany, Ireland, Jamaica, Korea, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Nigeria and the UK are now able to access the app.

The version for Apple’s iPhones and iPads lets you use your voice, which you cannot do with the desktop version.. But you can pose questions and requests and ChatGPT will answer them for you, sounding very much like a human.

The ChatGPT app is free to use and syncs your history across devices. It also integrates Whisper, our open-source speech-recognition system, enabling voice input. ChatGPT Plus subscribers get exclusive access to GPT-4’s capabilities, early access to features and faster response times, all on iOS.
