BlackBerry Provides Mobile Security for Professional German Football Club

BlackBerry customer Hannover 96, a German football club, was challenged with implementing an enterprise mobility solution that would adhere to internal data protection standards as well as German authority security regulations.

Nek Capric, Head of Marketing & Sales at Hannover 96 GmbH & Co., emphasized:

“We have data and information that have to be kept private … Security is vital for an organization like ours.”

Hannover 96 recently announced that it deployed the BlackBerry enterprise mobility management (EMM) solution, BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 (BES10), to secure the organization’s highly confidential information across different platforms, including BlackBerry, iOS and Android devices.

Hannover 96 also deployed BlackBerry’s Secure Work Space app, a container solution that allows iOS and Android users to securely access corporate calendar, contacts, notes, tasks, intranet browser, documents, and e-mail.

“Hannover 96 rolled out Secure Work Space as a container app to Android and iOS devices because of the secure communication that’s available to those devices through the app,” said Marc Kluvetasch, Head of IT at Hannover 96 GmbH & Co.

“This gives us the ability to erase the Secure Work Space app if a device is lost or stolen, which ensures that valuable data is protected.”

“Soccer is the leading sport in Germany and BlackBerry is the leader in mobile enterprise security,” said Bastian Anthon, Head of Consulting, ISEC7 Group. “After first introducing Hannover 96 to BES10, they were keen to move forward with the multi-platform solution. In addition, I live in Hannover and am a big fan of Hannover 96 – so it was a great honor to work on Hannover 96’s BES10 implementation.”
