Royal Bank of Scotland have rolled out updates for their official RBS and NatWest apps on BlackBerry 10 , bringing both offerings up to version 4.0.0.15.
With both the RBS and Natwest Mobile Banking apps, managing your money on the move is easy, fast and secure. You can:
- Get Cash from your account at any RBS, NatWest or Tesco cash machine without using your debit card.
- Pay bills & Pay Your Contacts
- Transfer money between your RBS or Natwest accounts
- Check your balance and your statement
- Find your nearest cash machine or local branch with Near Me
- Top Up your pay as you go mobile phone and up to four others (Unfortunately not for phones on the 3 network)
- Check your Cashback Plus Rewards balance if you’ve already registered as a Cashback Plus customer
- Check your RBS or Natwest mortgage account and credit card balance
What’s new in the RBS and NatWest apps:
- You can now view direct debits you have set up.
- You can now view standing orders you have set up.
- Previously you needed to have at least £25 available funds in you accounts to use Get Cash, upon receiving your feedback that amount has been lowered to £10.
- You can now download the app on as many BlackBerry devices as you want.
- You can now apply for a new or increased overdraft limit.
- When making a payment, rather than having to swipe through all the payees you can now search by name for specific ones.
Both apps are for personal accounts only and will not work for business accounts.
BlackBerry users should also ensure that they are using the correct apps titled ‘RBS for BlackBerry 10’ and ‘Natwest for BlackBerry 10’. If you are using the app simply entitled ‘Natwest’ or ‘RBS’, these apps are being decommissioned on the 20th April 2015.
