NIBC Bank deploys MobileIron to migrate from BlackBerry to iOS

NIBC Bank, a merchant bank in the Netherlands, wanted to migrate away from BlackBerry to iOS devices. To do this, the bank deployed an enterprise mobility management (EMM) solution from MobileIron to meet strict compliance and security standards.

The EMM solution secures and manages every device in NIBC’s environment, regardless of whether they are corporate- or personally-owned.

With capabilities such as jailbreak detection, policy configuration and device password protection, the platform enables NIBC to maximize business productivity while keeping corporate data secure.

We required an EMM solution with high security standards that was easy to use and that would control costs,” said Wybe Koolstra, Innovation Manager ‘Digital Workplace’ at NIBC.

“After evaluating some of the leading EMM providers, we chose MobileIron because it was the clear choice to support migration from BlackBerry to iOS devices.

Through MobileIron AppConnect, NIBC can also selectively manage and secure corporate apps and data without compromising the customer’s experience or privacy. If a device is ever lost or stolen, the bank can block network access and completely wipe all corporate assets, including email, apps, content, settings and certificates, without deleting personal data.

“Our ultimate goal is to become a Mobile First organisation, so we must always deliver exceptional mobile experiences to our employees. But above all, our mobile devices and apps have to be secure.

MobileIron makes that possible for us,” said Koolstra.
