LG To Host Third Annual Developer Event At Google I/O

‘Ahead of the Curve’ Evening Features Fireside Chat with AT&T; Technical Sessions on Android SDKs, Virtual Reality and Internet of Things

LG will host the 3rd annual LG Developer Event during the upcoming 2015 Google I/O conference in San Francisco.

Entitled “Stay Ahead of the Curve,” the evening event on May 27 will be emceed by Mario Tapia, a well-known mobile industry pundit in the Bay Area, and include keynotes from LG executives, technical sessions, and a fireside chat with AT&T Mobility’s Anthony Fabbricino.

Registration is now open for developers interested in learning how to create apps for some of LG’s hottest new smartphones, including the recently unveiled LG G4 and LG G Flex 2, plus virtual reality (VR) and Internet of Things initiatives.

Presentations and technical sessions will help attending app developers understand and take advantage of new, unique UI features using LG’s latest Android software development kits (SDKs). Attendees will also have the opportunity to get hands-on time with the latest LG mobile devices.

“LG’s Developer Program is more robust than ever, with so many great devices, from the new LG G4 to our IoT efforts, and we’re looking forward to sharing the details with the loyal LG developer community,” said Sungwook Kim, VP, North America Open Innovation, LG Electronics.

“With great partners like AT&T, this will be our most informative and interesting session yet. Everyone will walk away with a wealth of new knowledge about the exciting development opportunities around LG devices.”

The evening session will cost $50 and will be held at the W Hotel in San Francisco. Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis, and those interested can register and learn more about the event and LG’s Developer Program here.
