Desktop Alert Release Native BlackBerry Mass Notification Mobile App

Desktop Alert today announced the availability of their native BlackBerry mobile application.

Desktop Alert is a recognized leader in providing best-of-breed enterprise-class, network-centric emergency mass notification systems to private, industrial, military, government and commercial organizations. The Desktop Alert mobile application provides the ability to receive mobile alerts and execute pre-programmed emergency alerts. Note: Activation of this app requires a valid Desktop Alert server license or subscription.

“It was very important for us to be the first mass notification provider certified on the U.S. DISA/APL to offer Department of Defense and Federal Government networks a native BlackBerry app,” said Howard Ryan, Desktop Alert’s Chief Executive Officer.

Ryan added,

“We are proud to be the first to support the men and women serving our country, and all of our customers, with this crucial capability. Weeks ago our customer at NATO SHAPE Allied Command Operations reported back that the alert once activated was received on all mobile apps in less than 3 seconds!”

When seconds count, Desktop Alert technology delivers unified emergency alerts across all communication devices to quickly reach personnel through networked desktop alerts, mobile phones, landline phones, giant voice/PA systems, social networks, and the Desktop Alert mobile app.

Desktop Alert for BlackBerry is available now from BlackBerry World.
