WhatsApp for BlackBerry 10 has just received a substantial update that adds some enhancements to already existing features and fixes some issues introduced in previous versions.
First of all, the company has added support for some additional web client features, including message info and recent emoji sync.
Another significant enhancement included in the update is the added support for web link previews on outgoing messages.
This feature has been available for Android and iOS users for quite some time, but it’s only been added to the BlackBerry application recently.
Organization of phone numbers on the Contact Info screen has received an update and the message history backup process should now cause fewer issues with standard application functionality.
Furthermore, developers state the update is meant to provide a fix for issues connecting via proxy servers, so those who had this problem in the past should try out the new version of WhatsApp and see whether or not the bug has been fixed.
