Apple Glowtime

Apple ‘Glowtime’ event confirmed for September 9

The launch event will be streamed on Apple’s website, Apple TV and YouTube

Apple is hosting an event ‘Glowtime’ on 9 September at its headquarters in Cupertino, California, where it will announce details of the iPhone 16, new Apple Watch and possibly other new devices.

In addition to the new iPhone 16, Apple is rumoured to be launching an updated Apple Watch and new AirPods.

The theme of the event — “It’s Glowtime” — is a reference to the interface used by the new Siri digital assistant on the company’s latest devices.

‘It’s Glowtime. Please join us in person for a special Apple Event at Steve Jobs Theater at Apple Park. September 9, 2024 10:00a.m. PT,’ the full invite reads.

Apple’s invite includes the classic Apple logo with a redesigned twist.  An animation sees the logo swirl between hues of blue, purple, orange, and pink, seemingly in reference to the ‘It’s Glowtime’ tagline.

The swirling colours presumably indicate that Apple Intelligence will be a central part of the marketing for the new phones. Currently, only the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max can use it – but the full iPhone 16 line-up is likely to be able to use the new tools, and more features could be announced for those new handsets.

The event will take place on 9 September at 6.00 pm (GMT) / 10:00 PT. and will be livestreamed on Apple’s website, Apple TV and YouTube.
