Apple launched iOS 18 last year, with the main feature being Apple Intelligence. Apple then proceeded to delay one of the biggest features, a Personalized Siri experience, due to quality and reliability issue – and is now facing backlash from internal and external parties.

Of course, in the United States, there is always someone desperate to take out a lawsuit.

Eric Tucker, an Apple shareholder, has filed a class action lawsuit against Apple, alleging that the company made false statements related to the Personalized Siri feature.

The complaint further states that the company’s false claims hurt its stock prices, and as a result, the shareholders had to suffer. Apple’s stock prices fell by almost 13 percent after the company announced the Personalized Siri feature delay.

The lawsuit alleges that Apple lacked a functional prototype of AI-based Siri features and could not reasonably believe the features would ever be ready for the iPhone 16 series.

Apple did not immediately respond to requests for comment. CEO Tim Cook, Chief Financial Officer Kevan Parekh and former CFO Luca Maestri are also defendants in the lawsuit filed in San Francisco federal court.
