Vine rolls out support for 720p HD videos

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Vine has begun rolling out support for 720p high-definition video, bringing clearer and crisper clips for users and should make the service more appealing to companies, brands and other organizations that use it in a professional capacity.

Going HD may also see Vine become a repository for all sorts of professional imagery, too. News sources may want to post Vine’s of the goings on with better quality imagery

“We’ve been working on technical upgrades that support Vines in higher quality,” explains engineer Mike Kaplinskiy in a blog post on Vine’s site.

“When you watch Vines on our iOS and Android apps, you’ll see these quality improvements — they are rolling out over the coming days. You’ll also see higher quality Vines embedded in sites across the web.”

Kaplinsky says higher-quality uploads should be available on iPhones now and will be rolling out to Android devices soon.

The Twitter-owned service launched in late 2012 and says there are now 1.5 billion looped Vines played across its network every day, covering everything from comedy routines to breaking news coverage. Vine users will be pleased to hear that Twitter hasn’t forgotten about its oldest video tool, even after adding native video uploads and acquiring streaming outfit Periscope.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/3″][TS-VCSC-QRCode render=”canvas” color=”#002fcc” responsive=”false” size_r=”100″ size_min=”100″ size_max=”400″ size_f=”150″ value=”https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/vine/id592447445?mt=8″ margin_top=”0″ margin_bottom=”0″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text]Version: 3.2.1
