BlackBerry have released Beta 3 of BlackBerry Blend v1.2, which is now available in the BlackBerry Beta Zone for eligible beta testers.
Beta 3 does not bring any new features but is primarily a bug fix release, with BlackBerry stating that this release has over 250 defect fixes since beta 2.
When you use BlackBerry Blend, you can access your messages, files, and certain apps on your computer or tablet the same way you’d use them on your device.
You can:
- Access your device messages, text messages, and BBM chats
- Manage your calendar events
- Manage your contacts
- Manage files between your device and your computer
- Use a work browser to securely browse and access your organization’s intranet
BlackBerry previously stated that the Android Beta 1 build for Android smartphones would be made available on Tuesday May 31st. This release does not implement that and currently, Blend is only available on Android tablets with a 7″+ screen.
Be sure to update Blend on your computers and tablets in addition to your BlackBerry! All of the updates must be used together for the proper experience.
