ChatGPT comes to the iPhone in U.S.

OpenAI has released an iPhone app for ChatGPT, its viral artificial intelligence chatbot. The free app is only available in the U.S. , but OpenAI said it hopes to expand to additional countries “in the coming weeks,and that the company is working on an Android version.

The version for Apple’s iPhones and iPads lets you use your voice, which you cannot do with the desktop version.. But you can pose questions and requests and ChatGPT will answer them for you, sounding very much like a human.

The ChatGPT app is free to use and syncs your history across devices. It also integrates Whisper, our open-source speech-recognition system, enabling voice input. ChatGPT Plus subscribers get exclusive access to GPT-4’s capabilities, early access to features and faster response times, all on iOS.
