Microsoft has added several new features, such as picture-in-picture support, natural language search, caller ID for voicemail messages, and more to Microsoft Teams for Android.
Microsoft has improved the searching feature, with the company explaining that it added natural language support when searching for messages. In other words, you can now “search the way you talk,” so the experience overall is more straightforward when using an Android device.
Next, Microsoft says that it resolved a problem that caused spelling suggestions for search terms to be spelled incorrectly.
As far as the meetings are concerned, there are three important refinements available in the Android client.
The new version of the app allows users to enable the operating system Picture-in-Picture mode in calls and meetings, so overall, Microsoft Teams now feels more native on Android. This comes in handy on devices with large screens, such as the Samsung Galaxy Note20, as you can continue your meeting or call while also working on the device in other apps.
Microsoft Teams now allows users to view spotlighted participants in a meeting, and the company says that Android users can now view up to 49 participants in a meeting using the Together mode and the large gallery.
