Microsoft Teams gets new features on Android and iOS

Microsoft continues improving Teams on Android and iOS

Microsoft has added a series of new video-calling features to Teams, including a Together mode which looks to provide a new way to group chat.

With the new update, Microsoft Teams users will be able to view more members on the mobile’s screen and also consume less amount of internet data during a video call and more.

Microsoft Teams for Android

Users can conduct free meetings via Microsoft Teams and also have the ability to send meeting invites via a link and invited participants don’t need a Teams account to attend.

In addition, users can now search inside chats and channels and can upload an image directly to your gallery.

You now have the option to manage your Safe key or let Microsoft manage it for you. This can be changed anytime in Settings.

Microsoft Teams for iOS

You can now see more videos in your calls and meetings. 2×4 on iPhone, 3×3 on iPad and there is a new setting to reduce the amount of data Teams uses while video is on.

You can now also choose which number to dial for org contacts with more than one phone number and there is a Daily agenda view of upcoming meetings. Join, edit, or share them with contacts

Finally, Microsoft has implemented Single sign-on access for bots and tools in Teams that use your org credentials.
