The FedRAMP Class D (High) certification is designated for cloud services handling the U.S. government’s most sensitive unclassified data, including systems where loss of confidentiality, integrity, or availability could severely impact operations or public safety.

BlackBerry AtHoc is a critical event management platform used for emergency notification and crisis coordination. The company states the platform is used by 80% of U.S. federal government agencies, along with defence organisations, law enforcement, emergency services and critical infrastructure operators worldwide.

“Re-certification with FedRAMP Class D (High) underscores the operational maturity and security rigor BlackBerry AtHoc delivers to government and critical infrastructure customers every day,” BlackBerry Ltd. (NYSE:BB) AtHoc General Manager Ramon Pinero said.

”We are the only CEM platform to reach this bar in 2025, and this re-certification reflects our sustained investment in helping organisations coordinate faster, operate more securely, and respond effectively when conditions are most demanding,”

The platform’s Command Center provides a workspace that enables agencies to establish a shared operating picture, track personnel accountability, and coordinate response activities across sites and organizations.

Dubhe Beinhorn, Senior Vice President of Public Sector at BlackBerry Secure Communications, stated that the re-certification confirms the platform continues to meet standards for security, compliance, and operational resilience.
