BlackBerry Q10 apps will automatically be expanded to include the BlackBerry Classic

BlackBerry are due to release the BlackBerry Classic next month. The new design heralds the return of the classic trackpad and hard buttons, features cherished by BlackBerry QWERTY loyalists. It also offers a gleaming touchscreen display, 720 x 720 screen resolution, 1:1 aspect ratio and supports BlackBerry 10 OS version 10.3.

As the release of the BlackBerry Classic approaches, BlackBerry want to ensure that developers apps will be part of the new product launch.

To test your existing apps for BlackBerry Classic support, download the BlackBerry 10 Native Beta SDK, 10.3.1 simulator and required development tools.

The great news for developers is that most apps that offer support for the BlackBerry Q10 will also function seamlessly on the BlackBerry Classic.
