Our BlackBerry Developer Group Scotland hits the road again in February. While we had a hiatus in January while we waited on BlackBerry OS 10.2.1 being released, we are now ready to hit the road again.
Normally, we would be covering developing natively for BlackBerry 10 but for the month of February we will be concentrating on porting/bringing your Android app to BlackBerry 10.
One of the features in BlackBerry 10 OS 10.2.1 is that Android apks can now be used directly on BlackBerry 10 devices. This opens up the platform to every single Android developer who has developed an app or is in the process of developing an Android app with no effort at all.
Why restrict yourself to one platform when there are millions of BlackBerry users waiting on your app?
We also have four BlackBerry 10 devices on offer – two BlackBerry Z10s and two BlackBerry Z30s. Every app ported will enter our prize draw and at the end of the month, in Glasgow, we will have a raffle for all four devices.
