Will.I.am revealed his own smartwatch during an appearance on Friday’s hilarious chat show  Alan Carr: Chatty Man.
“I started the company myself,” he said before tapping at a wrist-mounted touchscreen. “I funded it, used my own money to develop it.”
Will.I.am has been a BlackBerry user for a long time but the interesting part of his project is the fact that, unlike most smartwatches that needs pairing to a phone, his watch is a standalone device that’s able to make phone calls on its own.
In addition to calls, the watch supports music playback, Bluetooth headphones, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
While no specs or similar were discussed in the show, what we did see looked pretty impressive.
According to a recent Twitter post, he expects to release the Smartwatch in July.
