The video above shows BBM working perfectly on Jolla using the android version which can be downloaded from your android app store of choice directly to your Jolla.
BBM even integrates into the notification area of the Jolla without modification but there seems to be some issue with messages actually reaching the notification area.
However, you can obviously keep BBM running as a live tile to see any recent notifications.
