BlackBerry’s Indonesia partner BB Merah Putih is working on the BlackBerry Aurora, their first budget handset since the company partnered with Indonesian firm PT BB Merah Putih, granting the latter rights to release BlacBerry smartphones in the country.
The BlackBerry Aurora (model number BBC100-1) has been spotted in leaked images on the interwebs.
The smartphone is rumoured to pack Snapdragon 425 SoC clocked at 1.4GHz and feature 5.5-inch HD display display of 720p resolution, packing 4GB of RAM and come with 32GB inbuilt storage.
In terms of cameras, the Aurora is rumoured to sport a 13-megapixel rear camera alongside an 8-megapixel front camera and powered by a 3000mAh battery.
Given that Blackberry will launch the Aurora in Indonesia, it’s no surprise that the smartphone carries dual SIM support.
There are no details for its launch but it is expected to be launched this motn (March).
