Apple has released iOS 16.1.1 bringing some bug fixes and fixes two security issues which focus on remote users being able to cause unexpected app termination or “arbitrary code execution”.
Both security flaws fixed by the update, were discovered by Google’s Project Zero team.
At the time of publishing, we have no information on included bug fixes.
iOS 16.1.1 Security Fixes

Available for: iPhone 8 and later, iPad Pro (all models), iPad Air 3rd generation and later, iPad 5th generation and later, and iPad mini 5th generation and later
Impact: A remote user may be able to cause unexpected app termination or arbitrary code execution
Description: An integer overflow was addressed through improved input validation.
CVE-2022-40303: Maddie Stone of Google Project Zero

Available for: iPhone 8 and later, iPad Pro (all models), iPad Air 3rd generation and later, iPad 5th generation and later, and iPad mini 5th generation and later
Impact: A remote user may be able to cause unexpected app termination or arbitrary code execution
Description: This issue was addressed with improved checks.

iOS 16.1.1 Supported Devices
iOS 16.1.1 will run on all iPhones from iPhone 8 onwards. To be exact:

As normal, to update to iOS 16.1.1, go to your iPhone Settings > General > Software Update and install iOS 16.1.1 when you can.
