Realme hasl launched the Realme 8i in Europe, with a Helio G96 SoC and 120Hz fast refresh screen.
The Realme 8i comes in a very shiny and glossy back finish, which attracts fingerprint smudges quickly. The device is 8.4mm thick and weighs 194g. On the bottom, there is a 3.5mm headphone jack, a mic, a USB Type-C port, and a speaker grill. The fingerprint sensor is on the power button itself, which is on the right side of the phone.
Realme 8 boasts a 6.6-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display has a maximum brightness of 600 nits and minimum brightness of 1 nit. It has 6-level fresh rates range of 30Hz to 120Hz. It also has a 180Hz touch sampling rate.
The Realme 8i is the first phone to come with a new MediaTek Helio G96 chipset. The chipset has a Mali-G67 MC2 GPU and an octa-core processor with two 2.5GHz Cortex-A76 cores and six 2.0GHz Cortex-A55 cores.
The phone comes with either 4GB RAM and 64GB storage or 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. Through software, a portion of the internal storage can be utilized as virtual RAM.
There are three rear cameras comprising a 50MP primary camera, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP B&W lens. On the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera. Both the front and back cameras can shoot up to 1080p at 30fps.
Realme 8i has a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. Out of the box, it comes with Realme UI 2.0 on top of Android 11. The phone is available in Black and Purple colour options.
