Just last week, Apple rolled out watchOS 8.4, bringing a bug fix which prevented some chargers from working properly. Pretty quickly, the company is now rolling out watchOS 8.4.1, which brings bug fixes for Apple Watch Series 4 and above.
The watchOS 8.4.1 update is listed on Apple’s security updates page, but at the time of publishing, there are no published Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE), yet.
Apart from bug fixes, watchOS 8.4.1 doesn’t bring any new features.
watchOS 8.4.1 can be downloaded for free through the Apple Watch app on the iPhone by going to “General” -> “Software Update.” The Apple Watch needs to have at least 50% battery charge, needs to be on a charger, and needs to be in the range of the iPhone.
