Huawei has officially unveiled the Huawei Band 4 at an event in China. The new Huawei Band 4 comes with fitness features and ability to surface alerts and notifications from a connected smartphone.
One of the big changes from the Huawei Band 3 Pro is the arrival of USB charging. Instead of gaining power through a cable or cradle, the tracker has a USB-A connector built into the band’s design that you can plug straight into USB-A sockets.
Huawei Band 4 packs a 2.5D colour TFT display with a touch screen. Sensors onboard include a three-axis accelerometer, infrared sensor, and an optical heart rate sensor. It comes with Huawei TruSeen 3.5 to monitor heart rate and Huawei TruSleep 2.0 for tracking four different phases of heart rate during the sleep.
For swimmers, it comes with a 5ATM waterproofing rating to make sure it’s safe to be submerged up to 50 metres depth.
The Huawei Band 4 will go on sale in China on 1 November, for around £29.99, and is available in three colour options – graphite black, sakura pink and amber sunrise.
