Huawei to set up Eight new ICT academies in Pakistan

Huawei and HEC have jointly signed a Contract to set up eight new ICT Academies in Pakistan.

Huawei will set up 8 new ICT Academies across Pakistan as well as upgrading the four existing ones, taking the total number of Huawei ICT Academies to 23 in Pakistan. The Academies will provide students access to the latest ICT Technologies.

Huawei will also bring their latest, Cloud, Storage and Security Technologies to the academies.

These new ICT academies will be setup in the rural areas of the country to ensure equal opportunities for the lesser privileged areas.

A contract signing ceremony was attended by the Chairman HEC, Dr. Tariq Banuri, Steven Yi, the President of Huawei Middle East and Africa Region, Mr. Charles Yang, President Huawei Middle East Region, CEO of Huawei Pakistan Saif Chi and other respective members from both organisations.

Both organisations also agreed to enhance the Huawei Skill Program to more places across the country and will also work closely towards R&D between both organisations.
