DataArt, a global technology consulting firm that creates end-to-end solutions for enterprise clients in select industries, today announced the launch of a dedicated Telecom Practice, which will focus on building high-performance, cost-effective, scalable, secure infrastructure and solutions for telecom providers.
Telecom industry figure Michael Lazar will lead the new practice. Lazar has served in C-level positions in system design, custom engineering and software development with major telecommunication solutions providers around the world. In his new role, he will implement strategies to drive growth in the telecom sector and support DataArt’s clients.

Michael Lazar joined DataArt in 2016 to lead the company’s telecom practice, focusing on the most demanding areas of the marketplace – systems performance, Network Functions Virtualization (NFV), Software Defined Networking (SDN) and telecoms security. He is a veteran of the telecommunications industry and for the past twenty years has held a range of C-level positions.
Prior to joining DataArt, Mr. Lazar was Chief Technology Officer of Veloxum/Ambicom Holdings where he was responsible for developing system optimization software, and before that CTO of Network Physics, where he led the design and development of Voice over IP (VoIP) and Financial Information exchange (FIX) monitoring software. Prior to the CTO role, Michael was VP of Customer Advocacy at Network Physics, in charge of worldwide pre-sales engineering, post sales support, and custom engineering. Prior to Network Physics, Michael held senior technical roles at Datatec Systems and Spirian Technologies, Inc.
Mr. Lazar holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics from New York’s Queens College and holds a patent for Systems and Methods of Tuning an Operating System, Application or Network Component.
With years of experience serving telecom clients, and a mature, professional team of developers and technology consultants dedicated to the telecom industry, the new practice will focus on creating solutions for virtualized infrastructures and converged networks, including virtualization security, application and service scalability, performance monitoring and big data analytics.
