Sensorium has signed a strategic partnership with the Humanity 2.0 Foundation, where the parties will work on the development of the first-ever VR and NFT gallery hosting Vatican’s art, content, and academic initiatives.
The new public-private partnership aims to bring the Vatican’s heritage into the digital world by creating a VR and NFT gallery for content from the Vatican.
The partnership hopes to develop the NFT gallery to be accessible with VR and via a desktop environment. The Vatican Museums contain almost 800 artworks from 250 international artists, such as Vincent van Gogh, Michelangelo, Pablo Picasso, and more.
More than 6 million people visit them each year, and with the Sensorium Galaxy metaverse launching this year, even more people worldwide will be able to enjoy them.

Sensorium Galaxy is now in beta and is set to launch later this year. To ensure that it is a truly open experience, the platform will be accessible through the most widely available interfaces.
Users can tune in using VR headsets to get a sense of true immersion, use a PC to access an augmented reality experience, or download the mobile application to watch streams, build unique NPCs and communicate with them.
