TCL will be unveiling its new product lineup at CES 2017, featuring a new BlackBerry-branded smartphone, as well as TV and other mobile technologies.
The company will be holding their ‘TCL Media Day Event’ on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at Mandalay Bay, Level 2, Mandalay Bay Ballroom F. The event takes place from 7 pm to 7.45 pm (11 am to 11:45 am EST).
As TCL is now the main contractor for the BlackBerry brand, President and General Manager of TCL North America Steve Cistulli teased #TheNewBlackBerry to come out during CES 2017.
Cistulli makes mention of the Remington No. 2 typewriter from 1878, the refined sequel to the overly floral and semi-functional original version.

Remington No. 2 is a typewriter that hit production in 1878, featuring a QWERTY keyboard and a shift key.
The new agreement gives TCL, the fourth-largest handset maker in North America, the right to make and sell BlackBerry-branded smartphones in all countries except India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh and Indonesia, some of BlackBerry’s biggest handset markets.
BlackBerry in September signed a deal giving Indonesia’s BB Merah Putih the rights to make and sell new devices in that country, its largest handset market.
