Vodafone UK’s customer loyalty programme, VeryMe, has launched ‘gifting’, enabling customers to donate their rewards to friends or family regardless of what mobile network they use.
To kick off the launch, Vodafone is offering customers a free film rental from CHILI worth £4.99. Customers can decide whether they want to keep the film for themselves or gift it to a friend.
The recipient will be able to select from a variety of blockbuster films that cater to all ages, including Little Women, Bad Boys For Life, Peter Rabbit and Spider Man: Homecoming.
Max Taylor, Consumer Director, Vodafone UK, said:
“We know our customers want to be able to give something back to their friends and families. We’re delighted to be the first UK operator to let customers gift rewards via VeryMe and the first offer is a film rental on us.
“This is only the beginning – be sure to keep an eye out for more great giftable rewards from some from big name brands over the coming months.”
Those who choose to gift their offer can do so using the ‘Send Gift’ option on the VeryMe app. You can send the gift via text, email or WhatsApp.
Once the recipient has received the offer, all they need to do is follow the link to claim the gift.
Vodafone says that more than three million people have signed up for VeryMe rewards since its launch in 2018, and the company has dished out more than 28 million rewards.
