DockNStore Makes the Most of Siri in the Car As More States Consider Hands-free Laws

Lawmakers in Vermont, Colorado and Wisconsin are currently considering new bills that could change the way people communicate using technology in their vehicles. The DockNStore is a hands-free device from Custom Car Docks that gives users the ability to access Siri and other voice-controlled applications with an iPhone iOS 7 device.

The DockNStore, a new iPhone docking system and mount from Custom Car Docks, gives users the ability to take full advantage of the mobile features of the iOS 7 for the iPhone, including Apple’s advanced voice application Siri. As more and more states consider and enact hands-free driving laws, the DockNStore’s relevance and potential market growth grows exponentially.

According to ABC 7 News in Denver, CO; NBC 15 News in Madison,WI; and Valley News in White River Junction, VT, lawmakers in Colorado, Wisconsin and Vermont are considering new bills that could change the way that people communicate using technology in their vehicles. According to Governor’s Highway Safety Association, 12 states, as well as D.C., Puerto Rico, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands already prohibit all drivers from using hand-held cell phones while driving (ghsa.org/html/stateinfo/laws/cellphone_laws.html)

Custom Car Docks designed the DockNStore phone dock to perform four major functions for motorists to take advantage of. The four functions are phone docking and positioning, charging, acoustic enhancement and cable storage. Instead of fumbling with two hands to dock the phone, the DockNstore allows for one-handed docking. When docked, the phone’s screen is angled properly to allow easy access to the screen, if necessary, and provide built-in audio chambers to enhance the sound for applications like Siri.

When Siri is asked, it can find the closest gas station, a place to eat, give the driver information on what is playing at the local movie theater, search Wikipedia for local points of interest, and if all else fail, even dial a number for a hands-free call or send a text from the phone. The DockNstore’s acoustic chambers were engineered to focus a person’s voice directly into the iPhone’s microphone allowing Siri to better hear sounds and more accurately respond to commands. Another feature built into the DockNstore is a built-in power supply. Simply by dropping the iPhone into the DockNstore, the user automatically attaches the power cable.

The DockNStore is now available for $49.95. To place an order or find out more information on Custom Car Docks, please visit http://customcardocks.com.[signoff predefined=”Enjoy this?” icon=”icon-users”][/signoff]
