Telegram has rolled out a new update which brings the ability to choose who can see your phone number in Privacy & Security settings and more.
Users can now add groups to “Always/Never Share” exceptions in privacy settings. Permissions will get updated as users leave and join the groups.
An improved design when confirming actions, searching for messages and adding users to groups has been introduced and it is also now possible to view any public channel from the web, even without a Telegram account.
Admins can now connect a discussion group to their channel by adding Telegram’s official comment bot (@DiscussBot) to their channel(s).
Admins can then post directly to their channel and a comments button will be available on all posts. This process has also been simplified for users, as they can click on the comments box, and they will automatically be logged in and able to comment.
Finally, developers can make bots that can seamlessly authorise you on web services.
