Samsung Galaxy Note 10 to be unveiled August 7

Samsung has announced August 7 as the launch date of the next Galaxy Note device. Samsung sent out press invites confirming the date and location. The latest Unpacked event is scheduled for August 7 at 4PM ET at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Samsung is expected to announce four different variants of the next Galaxy Note: the Note10 and the Note 10 Pro, and 5G variants of both. Other reports which claim that the Galaxy Note 10 Pro could be called the Galaxy Note 10+.

There is not a whole lot of information revealed by the invite, just a picture of an S pen and a single camera lens. The latter obviously hints at the punch-hole display like the Galaxy S10, although Samsung will reportedly be putting it at the centre of the Note 10 screen. Furthermore, the leaks suggest a fresh design for the rear cameras as well.

Rumours also suggest that Samsung will launch a Note 10+ alongside the regular Note 10. The major difference between the two could be in the size of the display. The regular model will allegedly feature a 6.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED display, while the elder sibling is supposed to sport a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED panel.

The next Samsung flagship is expected to pack a 4170mAh battery, an Exynos 9875 chipset (or Snapdragon 855 SoC for some markets) coupled with up to 12GB RAM and 1TB of storage.

On the optics front, the Galaxy Note 10 is rumoured to feature a triple aperture camera setup: f/1.5, f/1.8, and f/2.4, on the back. The primary lens will be able to switch between the three  apertures to give users control over the depth of field, and the amount of light entering the lens.

Apart from the primary triple-aperture wide-angle lens, the Galaxy Note 10 will sport a telephoto lens, and an ultra-wide lens. Additionally, the Note 10+ is expected to add a fourth Time of Flight sensor for added depth information and various AR applications.
