HTC launches HTC Desire 826 with 64-bit processor

Earlier, HTC announced the low-entry HTC Desire 320  and they have now followed that up with the announcement of  a mid-range Desire smartphone, the HTC Desire 826.

The Desire 826 sports a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset (CPU clocking at 1.7GHz), a 5.5-inch 1920×1080 display, 2GB of RAM, a 2600mAh battery and Android 5.0 running beneath HTC Sense.

The HTC Desire 826 packs a 13-megapixel camera on its rear and an UltraPixel shooter on its face, as well as HTC’s Eye Experience suite of camera goodies.

HTC has also crammed BoomSound speakers with Dolby Audio on the Desire 826’s face, along with a 5.5-inch 1920×1080 display.

While the Desire 320 is reportedly targeted for the UK, HTC Desire 826 is launching in the Asia-Pacific region first, with a roll-out scheduled for later this month, although it does look like it will be coming to other regions as the company has put in place a ‘tell me when’ page on its website for those who want to know when and if the device hits their country.
