Today BlackBerry announced the appointment of David Kleidermacher, the Company’s new Chief Security Officer.
Kleidermacher will be responsible for the global Product Security organization, leading efforts to ensure BlackBerry’s continued leadership in secure enterprise mobility. Kleidermacher brings more than 20 years of strategy and product engineering experience to the role, including expertise in securing connected devices and the Internet of Things (IoT).
David comes to BlackBerry from Green Hills Software where he was Chief Technology Officer. During his time at Green Hills, he led the team that developed the company’s market-leading INTEGRITY high reliability real-time operating system. INTEGRITY was certified by the NSA at EAL6+ High Robustness Common Criteria SKPP  the highest security level ever achieved for an operating system. It was also certified by the FAA.
BlackBerry CEO and Executive Chairman John Chen said,
