Apple has announced it is to open its first store in Edinburgh

Apple is to open its first store in Edinburgh which is to open at the east end of Princes Street on Saturday October 18 at 10am.

Almost £1 million has been spent by the company fitting out the landmark site across from the Balmoral Hotel.

The grand opening of the Apple Store, Princes Street, is almost here. Come in and try the latest Apple products, including iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Attend training sessions and free workshops. Talk to great people who can answer all your questions.

If you’re one of the first 1,000 customers, you’ll take home a free commemorative T-shirt without having to buy anything.

  • Get your new Apple product up and running before you leave the store. Then go further with free workshops created for new owners of all experience levels.
  • Get free hands-on technical support. Geniuses can troubleshoot problems and perform repairs on the spot.
  • Get your new Mac set up, then Apple will show you everything you need to take your skills to the next level.

It will be Apple’s 38th store in the UK.
