BlackBerry have released an upgrade to BBM for iOS, taking the latest version to v2.2.
One of the biggest criticisms of the iOS and Android versions of BBM was the difficulty in adding and finding contacts. This update simplifies those areas.

The number of fields it takes to get signed up has been reduced. Name, Email and Password is now all you need to get started on BBM.
Easier Friending
Adding new contacts has been a somewhat cumbersome and complicated process. This release simplifies the process so that when you receive a BBM invite by email – all you have to do is click the link and presto, you’re BBM contacts. No need to send a PIN invite back.

- Simple sign up for new BBM users
- New sign in screen for existing BBM users
- Improved experience for adding new BBM contacts by email
