Huawei has launched a beta of their streaming video service “Huawei Video” in Europe. The service is currently available in China, Italy and Spain and Huawei are now opening a beta of the service in the UK, France ,Germany, Poland, Turkey, Norway, Finland, Denmark and Sweden.
Huawei Video is the default video player in Huawei and Honor smartphones and tablet devices, which also supports online video streaming services.
Participants in the beta program will be expected to test the following:
- first page experience;
- program switch experience;
- search response experience;
- play response experience;
- play success ratio
- operation configuration is correct or not;
- recommendation is accurate or not;
- all buttons in app work or not
- any other issue you find during the test
- UI language or translate is correct or not;
- user preference and habits
An important aspect of the beta program is checking the content for legality.
- If the content shown in your country is legal or not
- If there is some sensitive word/content should not show in your country;
Content integrity check:
- meta data and synopsis of the content is complete, correct or not (like Uploader information, logo is placed or not ? show bill exists or not. etc)
Huawei will be rewarding users who submit the most bug reports through its Irish subsidiary Aspiegel.
- 10 Diamond award: €100 value Huawei Point
- 20 Platinum award: €50 value Huawei Point
- 30 Gold award: €30 value Huawei point
- 2000 Participation award: €5 value Huawei Point
Each participant who sends a valid feedback will receive a €5 value Huawei Point, and at the end of the testing period, a ranking will be made based on number of valid feedback sent. The TOP 10 users will receive the Diamond award, the ones from 11th position to 30th position the Platinum award, the ones from 31st position to 60th position the Gold award.
The beta program will run from the 14th February to the 8th March 2020.
How to participate in Huawei Video Beta
- 1. Download and Install “Huawei SmartTest” from HUAWEI AppGallery
- 2. Open Smart Test and accept HUAWEI Video Task.
3. Go to Task page, download and install HUAWEI Video app. - 4. Experience Huawei Video service (include functionality test, UI test, play experience test and content legality and integrity check during your experience).
5. If you find any issue about Huawei video app, please report issue via Smart test app’s Feedback tab page.
