Microsoft Your Phone bringing Multiple App Support

You can now run multiple Android apps

Microsoft is rolling out the ability to run multiple Android apps via the Your Phone app for Windows Insiders. However, this new capability will be available only for select Samsung smartphones.

Back in August, Microsoft implemented the Your Phone Apps feature allowing you to launch and pin apps on your PC, but it was limited to a single app at a time.

Microsoft Your Phone lets you link your Android phone and PC to view and reply to your text messages with ease, access your favourite mobile apps, and receive and manage your phone’s notifications right on your PC.

You can make and receive calls on your PC and transfer them between your devices effortlessly and easily share images between your phone and PC.

You have to link your Android phone to your PC through the Your Phone app, and your phone must be running Android 7.0 or later.

This new feature is currently available on the following Samsung devices running Android 10 that have Link to Windows integration:

  • Samsung Galaxy Note20 5 G
  • Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 5G
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Flip
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G

And on the following Samsung devices with Link to Windows integration and enrolled in the Samsung OneUI 3.0 Beta program, running Android 11:

  • Samsung Galaxy S20 5G
  • Samsung Galaxy S20+ 5G
  • Samsung S20 Ultra 5G

If your device is on this list, it’s also recommended to have the latest version of the Your Phone app, and Link to Windows. Also, be sure to connect your phone and PC must be on the same WiFi network to make it work.
