Terry Gou, chairman of Taiwan’s Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., said Sunday that BlackBerry’s new device, assembled by Foxconn, will debut at the February 24-27 Mobile World Congress (MWC) tech fair in Spain.
We already know from comments made by BlackBerry CEO, John Chen, that the device will be the BlackBerry Jakarta. A low-cost BlackBerry specifically targeted for emerging markets
“We are working with them to design a new device, and we will showcase multiple devices at the trade show in Barcelona in February,” he said at the opening of the Hon Hai charity festival in Taipei, referring to the MWC show.
It appears from what he says that Foxconn will be showcasing other non-BlackBerry devices as well.
