Easee and ScottishPower team up to reduce EV charging costs

The two companies bring together smart charging technology and a smart charging add-on to their existing tariff

Smart EV charging company Easee has teamed up with ScottishPower to help make EV ownership simpler and more affordable for drivers.

Customers who purchase an Easee One home charger through ScottishPower will be able to access ScottishPower’s EV Optimise smart charging add-on at 6p per kWh for 12 months, starting from the charger installation date.

The two companies bring together smart charging technology and a smart charging add-on to their existing tariff – to ensure hardware and energy supply work together.

The charger-and-energy bundle is therefore designed to deliver benefits, lowering upfront costs while reducing ongoing charging expenses.

By aligning Easee’s charging technology with ScottishPower’s EV Optimise offering, the bundled product aims to support charging at times when electricity is cheapest, cleanest and most readily available.

Sam Levy, regional sales director for the UK and Ireland at Easee, said:

“This partnership with ScottishPower is about making EV charging simpler, smarter and more affordable for drivers.

“By combining Easee One with access to a smarter, lower-cost charging offer, we’re helping customers reduce charging costs at home while making it easier to benefit from intelligent charging.

“It’s a strong example of how the right technology and energy offer can work together to make EV ownership easier.”

Looking ahead, Easee aims to continue developing features such as solar prioritisation, dynamic energy management and vehicle-to-grid readiness.

Rozlyn Brennan, director of smart solutions at ScottishPower, commented:

“Making EV ownership more accessible requires collaboration across the sector.

“By combining our EV Optimise add-on with Easee’s smart charging technology, we’re helping customers benefit from lower-cost charging while supporting smarter use of the energy system.

“Partnerships like this are an important step in delivering better value and a smoother experience for EV drivers.”
