Cellhire providing secure high speed data connections for vaccination sites in the UK, US and Europe

One of the more technical solutions being provided by Cellhire is mobile Pepwave routers coupled with high-speed secure mobile data.

Cellhire is continuing to work around-the-clock to provide secure, high speed data connections for thousands of vaccination sites in the US, UK and Europe. The company is engaged with governments, appointed private enterprises and network operators to provide rapid rollout of the mobile data connectivity to the sites, enabling them to update patient records in real-time.

Cellhire Group CEO Martyn Stevens says,

“COVID-19 has been a devastating public health emergency that has reached every corner of the globe. It is an honour for Cellhire to play our part and be an important component in helping to establish and support vaccination programmes in Europe, the UK and the USA.

“The complexity of the rollout has seen Cellhire involved directly with large corporates in the USA and indirectly as a partner to mobile network operators [MNOs] in other countries including the UK and France, providing equipment and airtime for mobile connectivity. The flexibility of Cellhire has really been highlighted by our capability to deliver mobile connectivity on time and at scale to thousands of vaccination sites on different continents.”

One of the more technical solutions being provided by Cellhire is mobile Pepwave routers coupled with high-speed secure mobile data. The routers enable a significant number of devices (typically, laptops and tablets) to connect to remote patient record databases utilising the latest Wi-Fi technology.

Allowing for rapid deployment and remote visibility of devices, the solution includes a smart remote management application that is pre-configured and ready for use, making life simpler for all the users. Built with contingency in mind, the routers are equipped with the ability to switch to a failover network if the primary network is unavailable.

Cellhire has the ability to deliver multi-network secure mobile data, quickly and at scale, thanks to its strong, proven-over-many-years global mobile network partnerships and robust and resilient teams.

AllTalk VoIP for healthcare providers

Elsewhere, Cellhire is providing its VoIP (Voice over IP) solution, AllTalk, to healthcare providers in place of traditional phone systems. AllTalk facilitates the rapid deployment of an easy to manage phone system where multiple call handlers can be reached from a single local phone number wherever they are based. AllTalk is handling thousands of incoming calls from patients calling to book their vaccination appointments.

For example, in France, a hospital was faced with the major operational challenge of running a COVID-19 vaccination centre. It urgently needed a local telephone number that could be answered by multiple call-handlers regardless of location, which would enable patients to book vaccination appointments. Cellhire provided its AllTalk app-based solution with a single local number that automatically routes calls to multiple call-handlers wherever they are based.

The solution allowed the hospital to successfully launch a single phone number vaccine appointment service. The AllTalk App supports multiple call-handlers and enables the hospital to handle large volumes of simultaneous incoming calls.

Stevens adds,

“Our global presence and close working relationships with key MNOs and hardware partners is ensuring undisrupted services and supply chains for operations teams in these challenging times.

“As many will be aware, Cellhire has extensive experience in providing connectivity for use at large scale events including the Olympics, Paralympics and FIFA World Cup, supplying tens of thousands of mobile data connections to global media companies, international broadcasters, athletes, sponsors, teams, and spectators.

“For the vaccination programmes, our systems were well placed to meet urgent demands over the Christmas and New Year period in particular.”
