Google Pixelbook Go now available in UK

Three months after being launched in the US and Canada , the Pixelbook Go is now available to buy in the United Kingdom.

Google is selling configurations of the Pixelbook Go ranging from £629 to over double that in price, and with processors from the Intel Core m3 to the Core i7 and RAM/storage configurations from 8GB/64GB to 16GB/256GB.

Only the ‘Just Black’ model is available at the time of writing. A second shade, Not Pink, will become available later this year.

They all sport 13.3-inch touch screen displays, however this will be an FHD screen unless you stump up for the £1,329 Core i7 model with a ‘4K Ultra HD Molecular Display’

Battery life is quoted at 12 hours thanks to a battery that’s 15% larger and you’ll get two hours of battery from a 20 minute charge. Chrome OS means the laptop is always available in seconds, with built-in anti-virus and automatic updates.

‘Whether you’re running to a class or a meeting, the grippable design of Pixelbook Go makes it easy to carry, and up to 12 hours of battery life keeps the laptop running as long as you are,’ claims Google.

‘Even better, you’ll get two hours of battery on just 20 minutes of charging.’

There are two USB-C ports and a headphone jack, but more interesting are the two front-facing speakers and two built-in mics, along with a 2Mp Duo Cam and ambient light sensor.

Only the Core i7 model has the 4K screen.
