Huawei Mate X Foldable Smartphone will not be released until November

During a press event on Wednesday, Huawei said it has pushed back the release of its foldable Mate X smartphone to November.

However, this is in line with statements by the company’s director of consumer business mobile phones He Gang who, back in July, stated that Huawei is still optimising the foldable Mate X smartphone and will  not release it without meeting quality requirements.

Huawei is still working on enhancements to the Mate X, making its targeted launch in September impossible. This date, itself, was already several months behind the original June goal for the device’s launch.

Huawei had earlier announced that it will be delaying the release of Mate X until September to ensure the device did not face the same issues as the Samsung Galaxy Fold.

After extensive tests, Huawei Mate X has currently passed 3C certification and network access license.
