Apple has released iOS 15.2.1 bringing fixes for CarPlay, Messages and more.
This update is all about fixing bugs. An issue where Messages have been tending to not load photos sent using an iCloud Link has now been fixed.
Similarly, third-party CarPlay apps that previously wouldn’t respond to input will behave properly again.
There are also important security updates that are to sort HomeKit issues, specifically “processing a maliciously crafted HomeKit accessory name may cause a denial of service.”
This is a vulnerability in iOS 15.1, which could make your iPhone literally unusable, and involved changing the name of a HomeKit device to something with more than 500,000 characters.
You can download the update by opening the Settings app and going to General > Software Update.
