Motorola Razr now available to pre-order from Verizon

Motorola Razr

The Motorola Razr, the company’s first-ever clamshell-style flexible display smartphone that folds completely, is now available to pre-order in the United States from Verizon.

Motorola Razr is not exactly cheap at $1,499 (£1,170) but it is a lot more reasonably priced than the extortionate prices that EE are charging for the Razr on a monthly contract.

The Razr is now available for pre-order from Verizon’s online store, with a price of $1,499.99 retail, or $62.49 per month for two years.

Verizon says the phone should start shipping on Valentines Day, February 14, and at the time of writing, there are no details on a SIM free option.

Motorola Razr is foldable flip-phone that has a 6.2-inch screen flexible screen and runs on Android.

The Razr is officially a folding phone, taking its standard clamshell design and reworking it into something more suited to 2019. The device flips open to reveal a 6.2-inch foldable plastic OLED screen, albeit with that chunky curved chin at the bottom, which now houses a fingerprint sensor and a USB-C charging port.

When the phone is folded, there’s a 2.7-inch glass-covered OLED display, something Motorola is referring to as the Quick View display. Similar to the front of the Galaxy Fold, this front screen can show notifications, music controls and take pictures using the 16MP front-facing camera.
