Samsung introduced the Galaxy S6 edge+ and the Galaxy Note 5 smartphones at the Galaxy Unpacked 2015 event today. It also unveiled the rumored keyboard covers for these smartphones. These QWERTY keyboards will allow you to type more accurately and with greater speed, according to Samsung.
It has a thin design and is compact so that you can easily carry it with you and attach it when required. This also covers the back of the smartphones to protect it from damage, such as scratches, knocks and drops. The keyboard snaps on top of the phone’s display. Once attached, the phone recognizes it and adjusts the user interface accordingly, making the top half smaller.
Since the Key-presses are sensed by the screen automatically, it doesn’t require batteries or Bluetooth pairing.
The keyboard itself is detachable, so you can use the cover without blocking the bottom of the phone all the time. That’s not a horrible tradeoff. Plus you get the added protection of a case and cover.
Samsung also remembered secondary functions, including symbols â€â€Ã‚ and a dialer section.
These keyboard covers comes in black, silver and gold colors and cost $80. They are expected to roll out at the same time the smartphones do.
(Samsung will also be releasing the cases for the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge as well.
