BT has concluded the sale of its domestic operations in France to Computacenter. The transaction is part of BT’s ongoing transformation of its Global unit and BT says it will deliver continuity and growth opportunities for customers and employees in the country.
BT will retain a strong presence in France with offices in Paris, access points to its global network, strong security consultancy practice and a cyber security operations centre. The BT team in France will focus on delivering next-generation networking, cloud and security services to multinational customers, including more than 60 customers headquartered in France.
BT and Computacenter also entered into a partnership agreement in France, ensuring continuity for existing customers and future growth opportunities.
Operations within the scope of the transaction delivered revenue of c.£104m (c.€118m) to BT in fiscal year 2018/19.
